About

This is me…

My name is Rachelle, and I am an ever-changing mom of three; I am a 40-year old student; I am everything (and nothing) that I thought I would be at this age. I am a thinker, a dweller, a creator – and I made this space to do those things. I made this space to ponder and write and share and talk about change…because, as it turns out, it’s the only constant we have in life.

I have been a professional writer for more than 20 years, and at the age of 40, I decided to pursue another love of mine – psychology. I juggled between psychology and journalism when I was 17 years old and chose the path of journalism, which I don’t regret one bit.

My natural curiosity in people was fulfilled by interviewing them and writing their stories when I worked at a daily newspaper in my early 20s. I furthered my writing career by freelancing with numerous magazines, PR companies, private businesses, and eventually, I wrote a book (my absolute dream). I’ll write more about that venture in later blog posts, but I just wanted to give you an idea of where I’ve come from so you can join me in where I’m going.

I am in the process of raising my kids, doing some writing on the side, and now, pursuing a master’s degree in school psychology. It’s been a tough but completely fulfilling road, and it’s absolutely the one I’m supposed to be on at this point in my life. It’s never too late, right?

I truly believe that it’s never too late to start anything – as long as you have the health and heart for it, and you devote the time it takes to achieve it.

With this blog, I hope to connect with each of you personally. I want you to share your stories with me, and I want to share mine with you. There will be mom stories, because first and foremost, that is who I am. I will share my struggles and my musings and my friendships and my thoughts with you.

I want to write freely, in this space, about my evolution as I venture this new path toward a midlife reinvention.
